I became interested in leather work when I was studying Costume Design. I met a great guy that works on Film and TV and he sparked my interest in this new and fun art form.
I have always been intrigued with old cultures and art, so I have been incorporating these into my work.
When I create I work in many stages, such as Cutting, Tooling, Dying, Hole Punching, Stitching and Finishing. I also use leather stamping tools, a wide variety of leathers and dyes depending on what I’m making, and what sort of finish I want. All while working with the beautiful natural flaws in the leather.
Currently I enjoy creating my pieces in my shed at home, which is great because I can enjoy the company of my dog Ollie while I work.
